Flyer.eu is a company created in 2002 and widely recognized for pioneering online print processing. The company is currently market leader in Belgium through online sales. With 42 full-time employees handling 1.200 weekly orders, the company is on firm ground. In the course of 2010, they achieved a turnover of 8 million euros.

 

Problem definition
Flyer came to see 2imagine for an online lay-out solution for its B2B customers accessing a protected portion of the website. Until now they would only process print-ready PDF documents.  To expand their service offer, Flyer intended to also provide web2print.

Specifications
Flyer came to us with a set of technological prerequisites. They wanted the software to be integrated with their own web environment. They wanted an easy-to-use, intuitive interface. And on top of that, the application had to accommodate the use of multiple languages. And last but not least, there was the element of time. Quick order processing was vital, as was the reliability of the system, while reducing the load on their own infrastructure to a minimum.

Challenge
2imagine faced the challenge to create a win-win situation, conceiving a tool for a customer known as a Belgian pioneer in online printing.
Flyer opted for 2imagine’s unique online Indesign editor, easily integrated with its web shop.

Features
The tool is expanded with own development, allowing for templates to be linked to users. After login, user data can be implemented immediately in the workspace. This greatly enhances speedy processing. Additional ‘editor’ and ‘approvers’ profiles were added to the tool. And finally,  automatically generated PDF and XML documents were inserted into the existing workflow.

Future
In a next phase, this first development will be deployed as addition to the services proposed to consumers. Customers will be able to implement their own online lay-out through the use of the proposed templates, without the need for a designer.

This development, eliminating the middleman, will also allow impulse sales. The customer will be independent in taking care of the end result, resulting in speedier conversion. The combined result of all these features has a positive impact on Flyer.eu’s turnover.
